Eileen MILAN

Eileen Milan passed away peacefully April 27, 2004.

Eileen was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jim Milan, in 1972.

She is survived and dearly missed by her children; Frank (Marguerite), Laura (Mick) Smith, George (Gladys) and Betty (Allan) Coxworth.

Blessed with deep family convictions, a keen sense of humour and a tenacious attitude toward life, Eileen was an incredible role model for her grandchildren: Nadine (Peter) Butzelaar, Michael Smith, Rebecca (Peter) Wyse, Heidi (Dave) Hasbrouck, Cheryl (Jeff) Balkenhal, Geoff Milan and Ashley Coxworth; and for her great-grandchildren: Kerstin and Connor Butzelaar, Madison and Tanner Balkenhal, Alexia Hasbrouck and Norah Wyse.

Eileen was born in Hamaruka, Alta., January 25, 1916. She married Jim Milan July 2, 1938. In April, 1952, Eileen and Jim moved their family from Three Hills, Alta. to Vedder Crossing where they “served the public” at Vedder Motors until 1973. Eileen’s life was enriched by her large extended family and her wide circle of friends.

A Memorial Service and tea will be held Saturday, May 1, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Cooke’s Presbyterian Church.

Should family and friends so desire, donations in her memory may be to the Chilliwack Hospital Auxiliary or a charity of your choice.
