Red passed on peacefully on Friday, January 9th 2009.

Red was born in Rosebud Alberta during the great depression and was the only child of Clifford and Catherine. Red grew up on Nixon Hill in Rosedale and attended Rosedale School. Red enlisted in the air force and served his country in the Battle of Britain with the RCAF 165 Squadron. Red will be most famous for his appearance in a BC Tel commercial in 1981. Red worked for more than 30 years for BC Tel until his retirement in 1982.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years Aileen, children Frances (Allan), Lorna (Craig), Marilyn ( Warren), Leanne (Eric), grandchildren Blake, Andrea, Chandra, Alana, and Craig, great-grandchildren Taylor, Ryan, Brooklyn, Bailey, Allessandra and Mathew, and many other family members and friends. Red will be missed and lovingly remembered by all his family and friends.

Services were held on Thursday, January 15th 2009 at Henderson’s Funeral Home.
