Edward (Ted) Charles HUGHES,

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Ted Hughes on Sunday, November 20, 2005 at Valley Haven Guest Home in Chilliwack, B.C.

Ted was born in Rosser, Manitoba and moved to Stonewall, Manitoba in 1950 where he spent most of his life farming and raising a family. Ted was a Past President of the Stonewall Canadian Legion and also helped out in the community for many years.

Ted is survived by Marge Riel, his beloved partner of 32 years and his four children still living in Manitoba; Roseanne (Lorne), Lesley (Steve), Sharron (Bryan), Scott (Kim), along with 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. In addition, he is also survived by his three sisters; Grace, Kay and Hazel.

Ted will also be remembered by his step children in B.C; John (Danielle), Ted (Loretta) and in Manitoba; Allison (Richard), Eric (Yola), along with their children and grandchildren.

His many other friends in B.C., Manitoba, Thunder Bay and Harlingen, Texas will miss his presence as well.

Ted and Marge moved from Manitoba to Chilliwack, B.C. in 1994 where they met new friends golfing and fishing. He will be dearly missed.

A Memorial Service will take place on Friday, November 25, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Henderson’s Funeral Home in Chilliwack, B.C. Rev. Kevin Pentland officiating.

There will also be a Celebration of Life for Ted in Stonewall, Manitoba prior to his final resting place at Brookside Cemetery in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Their exceptional care and kindness during Ted’s stay at the home will be treasured forever.
