Edward Richard QUILMAN

March 27, 2003

Born January 29, 1925 in Guelph, Ont. Ed Quilman passed away quietly on March 27, 2003 with his family at his side.

After serving overseas with the military, Eddie worked as a civilian cook at CFB Chilliwack until retiring in 1971.

In 1973 he joined the Anavets, Unit 305 where he was a respected and devoted lifetime member. He loved being around his many friends there and received numerous certificates of appreciation for his longtime dedication and hard work. His presence, particularly at the meat draw and annual corn roast will be sadly missed. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion where he played many a hand of euchre.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Charlotte; daughter Sabine; stepdaughter Ursula; as well as stepsons, Udo and Jurgen in Germany. He is also survived by his brother Bob; and sister Frankie in Guelph, Ont., as well as Lillian in Vancouver.

His spirit will join family and friends for a Celebration of his Life on Friday, Apr. 4, 2003 at 2 p.m. at the Anavets in Chilliwack. Anyone wishing to share in the celebration is welcome to attend.
