Edward Frank (Ted) hill

September 16, 2006

Ted was taken to his eternal home to be with his heavenly Father on September 16th, he passed away at the age of 78 years and 11 days. He was born to Frank and Susie Hill in Toronto, Ontario on September 5, 1928.

He leaves behind his loving wife Leona of 25 years, his children, daughter Terry-Lynn (Gary) Mercer, sons Neil (Linda) Hill, Michael (Linda) Hill, Tedd (Becky) Hill. His step children Jenny (Greg) Pluhowy, Lindsay (Tanya) Wall. 18 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. One sister Gladys (Don Foster) Stoyo and one nephew Paul Stoyo and his family.

He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Francis.

He moved his family to Chilliwack from Ontario in 1968. Ted worked hard all his life to provide for his family. During this time he worked for the City of Chilliwack. He was also a volunteer Fireman, and auxiliary Police Officer which he thoroughly enjoyed.

As a young man he was baptized upon confession of his faith in the Peoples Church by Oswald J. Smith. He was very active in the Youth Group during this time and also sang in the Melody Makers Quartet which ministered in towns throughout rural Ontario. This was a special time for him. He loved antique cars and wood working. Camping and travel was a passion for him. He enjoyed his motor home and later the camper van. When travel was no longer an option for him he purchased property at Caravans West on North Shuswap Lake.

Ted had many health issues and lived with much pain for many years. He believed that God had a purpose for this and shared his faith at every opportunity. He always had a very positive attitude in life as he faced his personal struggles. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A special thank you to Dr. Gord Enns, home support and staff at Chilliwack General Hospital. A special thank you to Teresa MacLean.
