Edward Alois Rieder at the age of 88, passed into the presence of His Lord on Thursday, June 13, 2002, at Chilliwack Hospital.
Ed was predeceased by his first wife Rose. He is survived by wife Margaret; his children, Delmer (Agnes), Ted (Betty), Marina, Darlene, Marlene (Herb), Yvonne (Bruce), and Joe (Heather); two stepsons, Rod (Cindy), and Jim (Ann); 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; his brother Walter; and numerous family and friends.
Ed had a great love of family and the annual family golf tournament, his bowling and a love of music.
Prayers were held Monday, June 17, 2002 at 6 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 8909 Mary St., Chilliwack. Funeral mass took place Tuesday, June 18, 2002 at 11 a.m., also from St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Fr. Gary Gordon and Fr. MacDonald concelebrants.
