Drayton Alexander SCOTT

November 4, 2006

On March 28th 2001 in Abbotsford, BC, our “little Prince” entered into the world.

He finally earned his heavenly crown from the loving hands of God on Nov. 4th 2006 as he took his last breath in the arms of his mother and father at home in Chilliwack, British Columbia.

Drayton’s memory will live on in the hearts of his parents, Andrew and Michele Scott(nee Dilk), his sister, Victoria Scott and his paternal half-sister and half-brother, Jessica and Travis Scott.

Drayton will be sadly missed by his maternal grandparents, Art and Iris Dilk (nee Gussie), his pateral grandmother, Joan Scott (nee Matheson), and many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Stan Scott.

Drayton lived with Epilepsy his entire life and battled against a rare childhood cancer, High-Risk Stage 4 Neuroblastoma for three years and five months. Amidst his struggles, Drayton was described by all as a peaceful, happy boy with an undeniable love of music.

His spirit was magnetic drawing people to him wherever he went. God gave Drayton the peace he needed to continue his battle and still find much joy in living! God’s peace was entrusted to him that he would pay it forward to us all. Col 3:15 “Let the peace of God rule in your hearts.”

Donations in Drayton’s memory can be made to the Fraser Valley Child Development Centre or to the James Fund for Neuroblastoma Research at www.jamesfund.ca.

A memorial service celebrating Drayton’s life will be held at Glad Tidings Church in Chilliwack, BC on Sunday, November 26 at 3:00 pm.

Thank you to our family, friends, community and many doctors and nurses for your energy and support during Drayton’s life and passing. Knowing Drayton has brought us together and carrying him in our hearts will bring us together again each time we meet.
