Our loving husband, father, and grandfather, Douglas William Burr passed away suddenly on July 15th, 2010 in Chilliwack, BC at the age of 72. He was born on August 2nd 1937 in Melfort, Saskatchewan.
Doug is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 47 years, Florence (called Sue by her friends and loved ones); his children Faith (Cory), Dana (Joe-Anne), and Robert (Gloria); his grandchildren Glenna, Robert, Joshua, Nadine and Rick; his sister Patricia Anderson. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Edith Burr.
Doug was a devoted and generous man who would do anything for his family. He proudly served his country in the Canadian Armed Forces Air Force for 33 years and retired as a Warrant Officer in 1988.
A service of remembrance will be held on Thursday, July 22nd 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Henderson’s Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Avenue, Chilliwack, BC.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association.
