August 25, 1930 - February 16, 2019
Douglas was predeceased by his wife Donna (57 years). He leaves behind his children: Sandra (Merlin), Bruce (Cheryl), and Linda (Peter). Grandchildren: Derek, Lindsay, Lindsay, Bradley, Julisa, Lisa and Douglas. Great Grandchildren: Taya, Jack, Felix and Daxton.
Douglas lived a fulfilling life teaching (38 years at Chilliwack Senior Secondary, one year at Simon Fraser University, and 10 years at Chilliwack Elder College) and being active in local, provincial and federal politics. He enjoyed many close friendships and countless games of curling and bridge.
There will be no service by his request.
