Douglas Raymond CARNEGIE

March 25, 2006

After 70 years of love and passion for his family and work, Doug Carnegie also known as the LEGEND in the trucking industry passed away on March 25th, 2006 at the Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops, B.C. Father Derrick performed the sacrament of Baptism and last rites. Doug was born in Edmonton, Alberta on March 6, 1935. Survived by his loving wife Minda, son Kim, daughter-in-law Barb; daughter, Tammy; and grandchildren; mother, Gladys and sister, Delores.

To most people Doug was the man behind the rig but to me he is more than that. He was a man of honesty, integrity, frankness and most of all a man with a big heart. As his wife, he will always be remembered and always be in my heart where ever I go. He had given me love, hope and strength to face the world when the time comes that I must be alone. He has so much love to give but he has too little time. I would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff, the victim volunteers and Father Derrick. To our friends who stood by me and gave me emotional and moral support all of you are treasured in my heart. To my “Honey” you will always be love and always be MY SPECIAL MEMORY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church 8909 Mary St. Chilliwack, B.C. Saturday April 1, 2006 at 1 P.M. Celebrant, Fr. Eugenio Aloisio. In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
