After a 4-year successful battle with cancer, Doug succumbed to injuries following a tragic car accident. He will be sadly missed by loving wife Judi, brother Chris (Jude), sister Irene, son Chris (Candice), daughters Deanna (Ron) and Brenda (Gary), 2 granddaughters, 2 great-granddaughters and the many relatives in his large extended family.
Doug served his country in the navy (1963-1983) and worked at his brother’s company, RIMEX, for 20 years. He was an immediate friend and neighbour to all in his community, lifting everyone with his irrepressible humour.
A celebration of Doug’s life will be announced in the new year. Special thanks to Constables Standcumbe and Roga of Fraser Valley Traffic Services and staff a Chilliwack Hospital E.R. for their compassionate and professional assistance.
