It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing into the presence of his Lord & Saviour our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, uncle, friend Douglas Clifford Weselak on November 29, 2009.
Douglas was born on January 16, 1935 to Edward and Katherine Weselak in Ladywood, Manitoba.
He will be sadly missed, fondly remembered and loved forever by his loving wife Gladys of 50 years, son Timothy (Carol) and daughter Kathy (Teddy), grandchildren Cole, Noah & Brooklyn, his mother Katherine, sister Audrey Letwin, brothers Ernie (Carol) and Leonard (Eleanor), sister-in-law Joyce Weselak, and many nieces and nephews.
Douglas worked for the Federal Government as a Welder/Sheet Metal Instructor until health forced him to retire in 1987. Douglas enjoyed working in his shop on any number of his ongoing projects during his retirement. He loved to travel, play his accordion, ride his motorcycle, but most of all spend time with family, especially his grandchildren.
A family interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 4th at Vedder View Cemetery Chilliwack, followed by a Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. at Chilliwack Alliance Church, 8700 Young Road, Chilliwack.
