It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of "Doug" at age 56. Doug was born in Ontario and following high school graduation became a Licenced Practical Nurse.
Doug's career in Ontario included working at various hospitals, as well as working as a Steeple Jack and doing construction. At age 40, Doug joined the Canadian Navy and continued as a Navy medic for the following four years, which he was very proud of. Doug then came to Chilliwack and worked for the BC Ambulance, later as a prison nurse, and then eventually taking a job at Chilliwack Hospital in the Bradley Center Unit.
Doug enjoyed his coworkers and cared for them all deeply. He truly loved and adored his patients.
Doug loved the ocean, beaches, golfing, and his many pets - but above all he loved his family.
Doug is survived by his wife Lynnette Peters (Chilliwack), son Paul Biduke (Ontario), step children Tamara and Devin O'Brien and Jared Kingston (Chilliwack), and his grandchildren
Dawson and Isaac O'Brien.
In Doug's honor, there will be an open house memorial and coffee bar at the cafe inside Main Street Church on Friday October 11th from 1:30-4 pm.
