It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear, beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother Dorothy (Dot) Werry.
She will be dearly missed by her Sons David and Allan Werry, Daughter Janet Henderson (Werry), Grandsons Christopher Henderson, Gerrit Werry, Granddaughters Christina Werry, Andrea Werry, Shannon Werry and Great Grandchildren Joshua, Connor and Grace.
Dot also leaves behind her only surviving Sister Florence Hammond (Saskatchewan) along with nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by both her Mother and Father, husband Earl Lloyd Werry, Brothers Jim, Lester, Ernie and Raymond, Sister Eunice and Grandson Brandon Werry.
Dot grew up in Chilliwack and worked many years for Chilliwack School District #33. She also dedicated her life to health and fitness and maintained a long-standing membership at the Chilliwack YMCA, developing many lifelong friendships along the way. When Dot retired from School District #33, she went on to volunteer at the Y and continued to attend classes for many years.
Special thanks to Doctor Markey for all the years of care he provided to our Mother and also to Doctor Gant and the staff at Chilliwack General Hospital for the kindness and compassion they showed in Mom's final hours.
Upon request there will be no service. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Heart and Stroke foundation.
You will be dearly missed Mom and will live on forever in our hearts, until we meet again.....
