Passed away peacefully at home on March 27, 2007 at the age of 82 with her family by her side. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband, James; daughter Lenora (Ed) Scromeda, son James (Kathryn); grandchildren, Bradley (Kristine), Kevin, Michelle, Alex, Alicja as well as many other relatives and friends. Dorothy was born in Meeting Creek, Alberta on September 26, 1924. She married James in Chilliwack on August 30th, 1947.
She was an accomplished musician, craftsperson, and a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker. Dorothy travelled extensively, loved life and brought joy to her family and friends and will be deeply missed. She was very dedicated and active in her church. The family would like to thank Dr. Corbett, community care and palliative care nurses for their support and loving care.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2007 at 2pm at the Chapel of Everden Rust Funeral Services, 1910 Windsor Rd., Kelowna. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan, PO Box 3619 St. Main, Guelph, Ontario, N1H 9Z9.
