Dorothy LANGILLE

Dorothy Enid Langille passed away on Monday, March 4, 2013 in Chilliwack, BC at age 82 years. She was born February 16, 1931 in Shediac Cape, New Brunswick. Dot is survived by her children: Jo-Ellen (Mike) McNeil, Donna McLeod, Bob Langille and Hal (Brenda) Kelly; grandchildren: Jason (Julie) McLeod, Karen (Jeremie) Droucker, Karie (Jason) Legg and Jesse Legg; great-grandchildren: Andrea Sime, Ronan and Zoe McLeod, Avery and Lauren Droucker, Josh and Colton Legg. She is also remembered by her sisters Peggy Stoodley and Deb Brando as well as her special nephews and nieces, David and Yvette, Deanna and Dom. Dot is predeceased by her parents, Sam and Bessie Cook; her sister Bernice Smith; and her brothers: Charlie and Bob Cook.

Dot was a Telephone Operator in NB for many years. She was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 280, Vedder, for 32 years. She will be remembered as the first bartender at the Branch. A Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, March 7, 2013 in the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Ave. Chilliwack; Pastor Kevin Pentland officiating. A Memorial Service will also be held (date to be determined) at the Main Street Baptist Church in Saint John, NB with interment in the Fern Hill Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Dot’s memory.
