Dorothy Jean Lee (Morison) 29 July 1924. At the age of 80, after a brief illness, she passed away peacefully at Chilliwack General Hospital on November 13, 2004.
Jean was actively involved in CPAC until she could no longer drive or see well. She has lived in Chilliwack since 1984 after moving from Edmonton with her late husband. They had also lived in Calgary for a few years as a young family. Most of her career life in Edmonton was spent working for the RCMP. She was originally from Rivers, Man. where one of her sisters still resides.
She was predeceased by her parents George and Nellie Morison, her husband Glen, infant daughter Marilyn, grandson Tom George, sister May Smith, and daughter-in-law Lorraine.
She is survived by her two sons Bruce (Lili) and Wayne (Florence), daughter Shirley George (Terry), 4 sisters Margaret Allen, Helen Stanley, Bette Klywak (Pete), Billie Chernos (Walter), 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The grandchildren Adrian Lee (Rhonda), Marilyn Lee (Dale), Clayton Lee, Brent Lee (Carlene), Aaron Lee, Ben Lee, Paige Lee, Robin Wilson, Tracey Laventure (Louie), Jane Lee (Denny), Kathleen George (Lee), Jacqueline George (Ray), Shannon George, Gord Armes, Xiao-Xiao Pan (Jun He) and great grandchildren will sadly miss their Grandma.
Friends may pay their last respects on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004 between the hours of 7:30 and 8:30 pm at Henderson’s Funeral Home in Chilliwack at 45901 Victoria Ave.
A service will be held at Henderson’s Funeral Home on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004 at 7 pm. Her final resting place will be at Temple Hill Cemetery in Raymond Alta. beside her late husband Glen.
