It is with great sadness, love and gratitude to God that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Dorothy Hawkins (Kreutzer) was born in Paducah, Kentucky, September 18, 1914 the daughter of Frederick Schmidt (Ted) Kreutzer and Eulah May Kreutzer (Jones)

Dorothy’s childhood years were spent in Winnipeg and Regina. Her nursing career took her to Regina, Vancouver, Kelowna, Nanaimo, and to South Africa and Italy during World War II. In 1950 Dorothy married Jack Hawkins, they had 5 daughters. The family lived in Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Sicamous. From Sicamous Dorothy moved to Chilliwack and later to Calgary.

Dorothy was predeceased by her mother and father, her husband, her brother and sister in law and her sister and brother in law,

She leaves to mourn her passing five daughters and their families. Jo-Anne (Werner) Bartel, of Calgary, Judy (George) Green, of Creston, Lori (Dennis) Urban of Evansburg, Virginia (Duncan) Wassick, of Nelson, Suzanne (Bryan) Eheler, of Creston, eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and sixteen nieces and nephews.
