Dorothy Grace Inkman (McDonald) born July 31, 1931 in Vancouver, BC died on Wed., Aug. 25th at Glenwood Lodge in Agassiz.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, John, and her brothers Doug and Murray.

She is survived by her son David; her daughter and son-in-law Donna and Bruce; her grandchildren (her source of pride and joy) Jody, Colton and Ryan; her brothers Edward, Randy and Richard; her sister Gladys; and numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews.

Born, raised, and married in Vancouver she moved to Revelstoke, to Mica, to Agassiz, and finally to Chilliwack. Known for her love of cards, especially bridge, and her willingness to volunteer to help others in their time of need, she was well loved and highly thought of by all who were lucky enough to have known her.

She had a smile that could lighten up a room, a wonderful sense of humour, and a willingness to listen to people and offer suggestions for help that were always on the mark. Her soft voice and gentle manner hid a depth of character and determination that kept her going through many periods of trouble.

We would like to extend our gratitude and thanks to Dr. MacIntosh and the wonderful caregivers at Logan and Glenwood Manors.

A Memorial Service officiated by Pastor Dave Huebert will be held on Thurs., Sept. 2, 2010 at 1:30 pm from Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children’s Hospital. Online condolences may be made by visiting
