Dorothy “Dot” aged 81 years passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at Burnaby General Hospital on December 31, 2006.
She will always be loved and cherished by her son Brent, his wife Sharron, her grandson Davin and granddaughters Mieka and Tayla. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Edward in 1997. She will be very much remembered by her brother Fred, his wife Jean, their son Alan and daughters Terry and Diane as well as her many cousins, nieces and nephews. She deeply loved all her family and was much loved in return.
Dot will be missed by her many friends and neighbours at Cultus Lake, her Spools Lumber and Red Hat colleagues and her numerous old and new friends in the lower mainland and more recently her daily Internet chat and bridge partners from around the world. Dot enjoyed painting, cooking, baking, gardening and sewing. She was always up for playing a game of bridge or poker with her friends at Cultus Lake.
The family will be holding a visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5th and from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 6th at Henderson’s Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Avenue, Chilliwack, B.C. (604) 792-1344.
There will be a celebration of Dot’s life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army.
