Doris Ella Denis passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at The Waverly in Chilliwack at the age of 91 yeas. She was born on March 27, 1918 at Medicine Hat, Alberta.
Doris is survived by her children Wayne (Dorothea), and Vaughn (Ev), as well as grandchildren Chris (Sheila), Kathryn, Matthew, Yvonne (Graham) Augustin, Tara (Shaun) Hartley, and great-grandchildren Ashley & Carmen Denis and Haley & Sadie Augustin. She is also survived by brother Vern (Betty) Monroe of Prince George, BC and many nieces, nephews and close family friends.
She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Ignatius (Iggy), and sister Leota Denis as well as her mother and father.
A viewing for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, August 26th 2009 between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at Henderson’s Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Avenue, Chilliwack, BC.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 27th 2009 at 1:00 p.m. from the Chilliwack Alliance Church, 8700 Young Rd., Chilliwack, BC.
