August 26, 1920 - July 16, 2019
On Tuesday, July 16, 2019, our precious Dora went home to be with her Lord and Saviour.
Dora was born on August 26, 1920 in Herbert, Saskatchewan to John and Selma Dyck. Life was challenging but her journey eventually took her to Rossland, B.C. where she met and married Charles Vernon Samuel Walker. Sam was her beloved friend and partner in life for 70 years. He predeceased her in December 2018 and she missed him intensely each of the remaining days of her life.
Mom's most cherished roles were as a loving wife, mother and homemaker.
Mourning her loss are son Vern (Jean), daughters Janet (Roger) and Joyce, plus 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
The last few years of her life were spent at Waverly Seniors Village in Chilliwack. The family wish to thank Dr. Madill and the dedicated Residential Care staff for their compassionate care of Dora during her stay there.
Graveside service was held on July 22, 2019 at Chilliwack Cemetery with Pastor Elmer Martin officiating. A private Service of Celebration for family will be held later in the year.
