(nee Cook)

(Nov. 24, 1941 - April 14, 2009)

Loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away at Cascade Hospice with loved ones at her side.

Predeceased by her parents Robert and Josie Cook; and her former husband Gordon Cleland.

Left to mourn her passing is her loving husband Bob; two children: Gordon (Michelle) Cleland and Janet (Dennis) Bonnar; step-children: Linda, Terry, Cathy; foster daughter, Marie Duffis; grandchildren: Mandy, Christian, Dessa, Christie and Cameron; Bob’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Lorraine (Fred) Perdue; brother, Dennis (Paulette) Cook; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Donna was involved in her community giving endless hours to canvassing for Big Brothers and the Canadian Cancer Society. Throughout the years Donna, along with her husband, were involved in many service clubs, Lions, Canadian Legion, Foresters, Masonic Lodge and Shriners.

After high school Donna trained as a Practical Nurse. In her latter years she was the operator of the Lotto booth at the Canadian Superstore. She will be sadly missed by her staff and many customers. Many of whom became her friends.

Donna found great strength and support in her church family and weekly care group, especially during the past five years battling cancer. This was acknowledged by her generousity and kindness to many of us.

A celebration of her life will take place Friday, May 8, 2009 at 1:30 pm, Chilliwack Alliance Church, 8700 Young Rd.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Chinese Alliance Church would be appreciated.

The priceless gift of life is love.
