We are sad to announce the passing of Donald Louis Sears on December 22, 2008 at Chilliwack General Hospital. Donald was born on October 24, 1924 in Bienfait, Saskatchewan.
Donald is survived by his loving wife Doris, children Kevin (Coleen) and Daren (Shannon), (nee) Dallas Sears (Roy), grandchildren Brockton, Kyle, Caitlin, and AJ, brothers Bob (Evelyn) and Clifford, sisters Mary, Shirley, and Helen (Ivan), stepchildren Gaynell (Don), Troylene (Al) and children, numerous nieces, nephews and great friends. Donald was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Lucille, sisters Dorothy and Betty, and brothers Gordon, Richard, Walter, and John.
Donald was proud to have served his country during WWII. He loved his family, friends, golf, food and life.
The family would like to thank the staff on the 3rd floor at the Chilliwack Hospital for providing him such great care.
Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 2nd 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Vedder Legion Branch 280 – 5661 Vedder Road, Vedder Crossing, Sardis.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
