DONALD MacDONALD CLEAL. November 30, 1927 - January 16, 2013. Don was a lifelong avid outdoorsman and had a great respect for nature. He started logging at the age of 15 during WWII, growing into establishing his own logging contracting business. He spent his working time in the outdoors in the beauty of British Columbia. Don had a great empathy and generosity for all living things, especially animals. He was an avid gardener; one of his joys was growing vegetables for family, friends and the food bank. Don took great pride in his dahlias, which were extraordinary. Don was sociable and enjoyed weekly outings with his grandson Gavin, as well as playing bridge with friends. Don’s greatest pride, comfort and joy was his family. He is predeceased by his wife of 58 years Claudia, as well as his daughter Cindy. He will be deeply missed by daughter Dawn, and son-in-law Eric, son Don and daughter-in-law Debbie. Also by grandchildren Derek, Erin, Laura, Craig, Evan, Deanndra, Jordan, Gavin, and great grandson Vadik. and also by his sister June and numerous other relatives. A gathering to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 26th, 2013 at 9360 Windsor Street Chilliwack.
