It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Dirkje Van De Pol. She passed away in her home at the age of 76.
She was born March 31, 1930 in Barneveld, The Netherlands and has lived in the Chilliwack area for 54 years.
She is survived by her husband, Dirk Van De Pol and three children Wilma (John) Jansen, Jake (Mary) Van De Pol and Elly (Stewart) Geoghegan. Seven grandchildren, Steve (Helen) Jansen, Debbie (Clarence) Van Oosterom, Teresa (Bill) De Rover, Darren Jansen, Lisa (Colin) Van Den Brink, Dirk (Michelle) Van De Pol, Ryan (Taryn) Van De Pol and 21 great-grandchildren. Also sisters, Evertje Van Huigenbos, Janna (Franz) Hermsen, Maria (Piet) Hansum, Catalina (Henk) Morren and two brothers, Jacob (Johanna) Hardeman and Willem Hardeman and four sisters in-law Ali Hardeman, Hendrika Van Hierden, Jantje Van Den Brink and Cornelia Goor.
She is predeceased by two brothers, Gerrit Hardeman and Aris Hardeman.
There was a funeral service at the Reformed Congregation in North America Church on December 14th, 2006 at 11:00 am, Reverend T.R. Treur officiating, interment was at Chilliwack Cemeteries.
