July 17, 1935 - October 6, 2020
In loving memory of Derwood Albian Moorhouse.
Derwood passed away on October 6th, 2020, better known as Dag. Dag was born on July 17, 1935 in Saskatchewan, and moved to BC at the age of 2 after the death of his mother.
He spent his early years in Fort Langley with the Rennie family, his dad's sister and her family.
He met Donna in Fort Langley and the two were married in 1959. In the early sixties the family moved to Bear Creek on Harrison Lake where Dag worked as a faller.
Here they would spend five happy years and create many lasting friendships and warm memories. The family moved back to Chilliwack in 1966 and remains there today.
Dag was predeceased by both his parents, and five siblings. He is survived by his wife Donna, his children Diane (Danny), Dennis (Gloria), and David. Grandchildren Breanna, Brendan, Lindsay, Kelsey, Sydney and Ashley. Great Grandchildren Amelia, Parker, Scarlett, Ariel, and Jai. His brother and sister-in-law Norman and Shirley.
Dag had a great sense of humour and always enjoyed a good story. He will be missed by many. A memorial is planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cascade Hospice would be appreciated.
