ANDERSON, Derek Charles
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear husband, father, and Poppi. Born in Forres, Scotland on June 11, 1946, Derek immigrated in 1952 to Canada. He passed away peacefully on July 24, 2015 at Chilliwack General Hospital after living with Alzheimer's. Derek worked as a food sales manager and spent many days of his life on the ball diamond. Derek is survived and will be dearly missed by his wife Lynda (née Brown); three beautiful daughters Denni (Hugh McDonald), Michelle, and Nikki (Brian Simituk); and five loving grandchildren (Mackenna, Brayden, Tyson, Cole, and Danica). He is also survived by 6 brothers & their families including countless other members of Clanderson. Derek was pre-deceased by his mother Christina, father Arthur, and sister Sheila Kosterman. We will mostly miss his love of joke telling and gift for making people smile. A celebration of Derek's life will be at Valley View Chapel, 14660 72nd Ave, Surrey on August 24th, 2015 at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Alzheimer Society of BC.
