LOXTERKAMP; Dennis Eugene

October 12, 1949 - August 8, 2016

With deepest sorrow we announce the sudden passing of Dennis Eugene Loxterkamp at his home in Chilliwack BC.

Born October 12th, 1949 to John and Caroline Loxterkamp. He spent his childhood in Cloverdale with his two sisters Joyce and Bonnie. Traveling the world at 19 he was an adventurous and curious man holding a respect and appreciation for people, animals, nature and all the experiences that life offers. After many years of moving throughout the BC areas, as far as Calgary, AB, he chose to raise his two sons in Kamloops. Here he became an amazing father, best friend and role model to his two sons whom he loved so dearly. Being an amazing father he himself was an amazing son taking us on countless trips to spend time with grandma on the coast. Dennis was preparing for retirement after 12 years with the men and women of Torbram Electric, spending time in Salmon Arm, Nanaimo and Chilliwack, where he became like family to co-workers and customers alike. Balancing his interests, passions and responsibilities he was able to explore the open roads, camping and visiting loved ones along his way. Dennis is survived by his two sons Mathew and Zachery Loxterkamp. A celebration will be held in our Dad's name on Saturday August 27th in Chilliwack, BC.
