It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dennis Lee Pilling, aged 82.
Denny will be missed by his surviving family, which includes his loving wife Patti, son Michael (Jasmine), daughter-in-law Shelley, sister Jody (Wim), brother-in-law Bill Kennedy, grandchildren Morgan, Drew (Becca) and Julia, as well as nieces Anna, Jackie and Sacha Romeyn. Denny is predeceased by his son, Steve, and parents Norma (nee. Rannie) and Jack Pilling.
Denny was born in Chilliwack on November 20th, 1937, where he lived his entire life. He and Patti were married September 24, 1960. Together with their boys, they loved to go camping, and to spend time at the family cabin at Tunkwa Lake.
Denny's favourite past-time was fishing, spending many hours on the Vedder River and Tunkwa Lake, as well as carving in his workshop. In town, Denny was involved with both Kinsman and the Wells Sanctuary Society, where he served as past president.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the "Steve Pilling - For the Love of Hockey Memorial Award" care of Chilliwack School District 33.
No service as requested. Ashes will be spread at Tunkwa Lake by his family.
