HRUSIK, Denise Marie
December 18th, 1960 - December 17th, 2016
The family of Denise Marie Hrusik are so very sad to announce her sudden, unexpected passing on Saturday, December 17th, 2016 at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, BC. She passed away surrounded by her loving family one day before her 56th birthday. Denise fought a tremendous battle which was an inspiration to us all. Denise was born in Chilliwack on December 18th, 1960. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Eileen and Milan (Monk) Hrusik. She is survived by her soul mate and life partner, Keith Newport; her siblings, Maureen Hrusik and Danny Hrusik; her sister-in-law Angela Hrusik; her nephews Stephen and Michael Lawn and Cole Hrusik; her niece Amy Hrusik; her step daughter Jessica Newport and brother-in-law Kevin Newport. Denise had a huge heart. She was a kind and loving soul who cared deeply for her family. She was always thinking of others and generous in so many ways. She will be deeply missed and her passing has left a huge hole in all of our hearts. Denise worked in the accounting field for the same company for 28 years. She had a very strong work ethic. She loved working in her garden, cooking and fishing with the love of her life, Keith, on the boat and facetiming with her beloved niece Amy. She dearly loved spending time with nephews; Stephen, Michael and Cole and niece Amy. The family wishes to express our sincere gratitude for the exceptional care she received at Chilliwack General Hospital Emergency Dept and the Intensive Care Dept at Royal Columbian Hospital. The care and compassion she and the family received was phenomenal. Also thank-you to the family's friends for their love and support during this very difficult time. Following cremation, a private family gathering will take place at her home sometime after Christmas. She will be laid to rest with her parents.
Denise, we love and miss you deeply. Through your battle and passing you taught us so much about the support of family and we will hold you in our hearts forever. We will say goodbye for now, until we all are together again.
