July 18, 2018
Wednesday, July 18, 2018, our dear Deb left us to be with her Lord and Saviour. Deb leaves behind her father Henry Stobbe, sister Laurie (Wayne) Bjorge, brothers Bob (Charity) Stobbe, and Dan (Sandy) Stobbe, nieces and nephews, Josh(Heather), Brittany (Chris) and children, Hudson, Jonus, and Madeline, Joy(Steven), and Clayton, foster sister Maureen (Dave) Boychuk, and loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Deb was predeceased by her mom, Margaret.

Deb was born in Chilliwack, BC and spent most of her life there and in Abbotsford. Deb belonged to the Chilliwack and Abbotsford Alliance churches. Early on she was very involved with Camp Kawkawa as a result and spent many years working and volunteering for the camp. Although Deb lived with a disease that took her energy, mobility and strength, her spirit was always positive, her faith was strong, and humour intact.

She loved to laugh, and loved spending time with children. Her compassion for people was felt by her family, friends, and those who looked after her. Her extraordinary patience and faith held her through a thirty year battle with MS.

The family would like to thank Fraser Health's community care team, and Fraser Cheam Home Support for the many years of daily care for Deb. Also the nurses and doctors at Chilliwack General for the caring and support during her latest stay.

A celebration of life for Deb will be held at the Chilliwack Alliance Church, Friday, August 24, 2018 at 1:00 pm. Donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada. Online condolences may be offered at www.woodlawn-mtcheam.ca.
