David William PROCTER

David William Procter passed away in Agassiz on November 1, 2004 at the age of 75. He was born in Brantford, Ont. on June 30, 1929.

David is survived by his wife Eleanor of 52 years and daughters Heather Rose (Ross) Bailey, Odette Procter and grandson Colton.

He was predeceased by his parents, David and Rose Procter, sister Aileen Clarke, step-mother Aileen and half brother Bryan Procter.

From 1948 to 1951 Pte. D.W. Procter served in the Canadian Armed Forces, Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps. 1950’s through to the ‘60’s he worked at Dairyland. For 20 years he was a Commissionaire Guard, Custodian, Man of all Trades at the RCMP Agassiz Detachment. He joined the John Westaway Society, a benevolent, non-profit, philosophical society and became president in 1960.

He was an active man who loved the outdoors, nature, animals and sports like hockey, boxing. He also loved the challenge of bungy jumping, parachuting and politics. He enjoyed golfing and motorcycles. His hobby was making candy houses for family and charities.

Service of Remembrance will be held on Monday, Nov. 8, 2004 at 11 am in the Chapel of Henderson’s.
