David McMillan MILLER

The last Miller from Barrowfield St., Glasgow, Scotland. David McMillan Miller died Dec. 18, 2007 at age 83. He was born June 13, 1924 and after WWII service in the British Army in Italy & North Africa, he emigrated to Canada.

He tried living in Sicamous, but eventually settled in Vedder Crossing where he was a fixture at CFB Chilliwack and the Vedder Legion for the next 50 years.

Despite his remarkable independence, he eventually became the first official resident of Cascade Manor, Chilliwack. He is survived by his dear friends and wonderful care-givers Sharon, Andrea, Ray & David as well as family Finley, Janet and Jacki and their sons Roger, Robert and Keith.

He was predeceased by his immediate family but will be dearly remembered by those whose lives he touched with his over 40 year involvement in the Boy Scouts and Big Brothers.

Thanks Uncle Dave, your stories, songs & poems will stay in our memories. A graveside service will be held at Vedder View Garden Cemetery, 44675 Watson Rd. Chilliwack, Friday Dec. 28th, 2007 at noon.

A tea will follow at the Vedder Branch 280, of The Royal Canadian Legion, 5661 Vedder Rd., Chilliwack.
