David Doerksen was born in Drumheller, Alberta on June 22, 1944 to Jacob and Hertha Doerksen. He spent most of his life farming: dairy, berry, and later tree nursery, which he loved. He married Marilyn (Klassen) in 1979. They had many good times camping with family, playing golf and going on a few cruises. Dave was very involved in his church through ushering or just helping out wherever needed. His church family was very important. He unexpectedly passed away peacefully on July 20, 2016. He leaves to mourn: his wife of 37 years, Marilyn, son Shawn, daughter Rachel (Mike) Harrison, grandson Jacob; 2 brothers; brothers/sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, July 30 at 2:00pm at Central Community Church, 46100 Chilliwack Central Rd.
