David Burrill Leboe was born June 19th, 1929 in Donalda, Alberta and passed away on November 7th, 2008 at the age of 79 years.
Dave was a jack-of-all-trades who made a living as a logger, heavy equipment operator, and guide outfitter in Robson Valley. Dave moved his family to Chilliwack in 1966, where he taught Special Education and continued to operate heavy equipment. His final years were spent at Valleyhaven, where he was able do his favorite thing: socialize.
Dave is survived by daughters Gloria (Bill) Jackson, Kathy (Greg) Demerse, Bev McLennan, and sons Bill (Patti) Leboe and George Leboe, grandchildren, Mark (Jennie), Steven (Sherry), Danielle, Jillian, Brandon, Kaycee, Jeremy (Samantha), Robin, Chad, Jason, Logan, Dylan and great-grandson Ryan.
Dave is predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Doreen, and parents Alvin and Mattie Leboe. Many thanks to the staff at Valleyhaven for their commitment and care.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 14th at 3:00pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 48565 Hocking Avenue, Chilliwack, BC 604-793-4555. Donations can be made to The Lung Association of British Columbia at 1-800-665-5864.
