It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear brother, uncle and friend David Bradley Thompson. David passed away peacefully at Chilliwack General Hospital after a short and hard-fought battle with cancer.

David was born in Chilliwack, BC to parents Marvin (Sr) and Helen Thompson of Yarrow, where he spent his boyhood. Later he moved to Cultus Lake and later to Vedder Crossing where he called home for many years.

David worked at Guenther Doors in Yarrow, was a Volunteer Firefighter with the Cultus Lake Fire Department and belonged to the Vedder Legion Branch. (#280) He loved fishing, cooking, gardening, making jam and loved to share it with friends and family.

David leaves behind his brothers Marvin (Fay) and Clifford Thompson along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and goddaughter Stephanie. David's family is grateful to the many nurses, doctors, family and friends that helped David during his courageous battle. His infectious smile and amazing passion for life will be greatly missed by many.

There will be a celebration of life held at: Vedder Legion Branch #280, 5661 Vedder Rd, Chilliwack. 2 pm on Sunday, April 15, 2018.
