Danilo “Danny” “Belmonto” D’Ottavio passed away peacefully at home on November 5th, 2008 at the age of 59. He was born on October 5th, 1949 in Teramo, Abruzzo, Italy. Danny is survived by his son Joey, daughter Alitha, grandchildren Quinn and Aynsley, as well as, extended family in both Winnipeg and Italy. He was predeceased by his brother Giacinto, mother Ersilia and father Guido. Danny immigrated to Winnipeg in 1963. After moving to Canada, he worked at CN Rail for 35 years before retiring.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 14th from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM at Henderson’s Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday November 15 at 10:30 AM from St. Mary’s Catholic Parish, 8909 Mary St., Chilliwack, with a burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
