Sadly, on January 11, 2003, our Mother Corrine McRae passed away peacefully at the Chilliwack General Hospital.
She will be very deeply missed by her three sons and their families, Winston and Sheila McRae of Delta, Terry and Isobel Barkley of Athabasca, Alta., and Raymond McRae and Wanda McRae, both of Kamloops. She will also be missed by her 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Geraldine (Gerry) Bell of Sardis, and Jeanette Huguet of Alberta; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Rev. Alphonse Huguet, mother Geraldine; step-father Frank Montague; her brothers, Avery, Eugene; and Rev. King Huguet; and her beloved twin sister Yvonne Wheeler.
Corrine was born on January 25, 1916 in Wilmer, B.C. and was married to George Alexander McRae.
According to her wishes cremation will take place.
A memorial service will be held at Henderson’s Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria, Ave., Chilliwack at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003. Irene Forcier officiating. Reception to follow the service.
