Constantine SCHOENBAECHLER

Constantine Schoenbaechler of Mountain View Apartments in Abbotsford, BC, passed away August 7, 2005 in Abbotsford Hospital after a brief illness.

Constantine was born March 25, 1937 in Einsledein, Switzerland, and immigrated to Canada in 1960.

He worked as a chef at various hotels across Canada. For the past 14 years, he was well known for running the Stockyard Restaurant in McClary’s Auction in Abbotsford.

He leaves to mourn his passed two brothers, Alois and Joseph Schoenbaechler, and two sisters, Anne-Marie Reumer and Elsie Wyttenbach; and numerous nieces and nephews in Switzerland, and nieces in Canada, Christine Dyer of Parksville, and Christiana Schoenbaechler of London, England; and nephew, Ernst Schoenbaechler of Cranbrook, BC; sister-in-law, Delores Lehmann of Chilliwack. Brigitte Slomski, her children and grandchildren, are mourning the sudden passing of Constantine, also her extended family.

The family and friends’ memorial was held at the home of Brigitte Slomski, 2129 Townline Road, Abbotsford, on Saturday, August 20 at 3:00 p.m.

A mass was held on Sunday, August 21 at St. James Church, Abbotsford, at 11 a.m.
