Clifford Wayne Laughlin, born August 28, 1941, passed away suddenly at his residence May 15, 2011.
Wayne was born and raised in Rosedale and lived on the family farm for most of his life. His greatest love was airplanes and he learned to fly through a scholarship with the Air Cadets at the age of 17, and later joined the Royal Canadian Air Force. Throughout his life he continued to build model airplanes. He loved all animals and had many pets over the years. He also enjoyed music, especially Rock ’n Roll and had an extensive record collection.
Wayne is survived by his sister Diane Cleary, brother Eric (Laurie) Laughlin and sister Karen (Wayne) Christie, nieces Jen and Allison, nephews Chris, Brendan and Daniel. He was predeceased by his father Cliff, mother Helene and brother Gary.
The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Norman Manor for making these last few years some of Wayne’s happiest.
