Clifford Palmer JULSETH

Clifford Palmer Julseth passed away peacefully Sunday, April 24, 2005 surrounded by his family. Cliff is survived by his loving wife Helen of 55 years, daughter Dona and her children Andrew, Kathleen and Matthew, as well as great grandson, Levi; son, Jack, his wife Teresa and their children, Becky and Trisha; daughter Kathleen, her husband Hance and their children Spenser, Nolan, Kelsea and Shelbea. Cliff is also survived by his sisters Ann (Gerry), Polly, Doreen and Pearl; nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends.

Clifford grew up in Popkum, Rosedale and Chilliwack, spending his early days hiking, hunting and logging the beautiful surrounding mountains.

Cliff met Helen while working on the RivTow tugs in the late 1940’s. They married in 1950. In 1956, Clifford took a dispatch position in Vancouver and moved his family to New Westminster. He worked with RivTow /RivTow Straits for over 40 years, earning his way to Vice-President of Marine Operations for his later years. He was known for his integrity, honesty, dedication, dignity and professional ethics. When Cliff retired in 1990, he and Helen moved back to Chilliwack where he spent much of his time with family and close friends. Cliff had a great love and respect for nature. He enjoyed working outdoors, gardening, bird watching and walking.

Cliff, Dad, Papa will be lovingly remembered for his dedicated love for Helen and his family, his strength and gentleness, his perseverance and patience, his generosity, wisdom….and his good looks!

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 6, 2005 at 1:30 pm at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave. Chilliwack, BC. If friends and family so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Chilliwack Hospice Society in Cliff’s memory.
