Clifford Carson Thompson BENNETT

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Clifford Carson Thompson Bennett who passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at the age of 74.

He is survived by: his wife and soul mate Jean; the mother of his children Jennie (Bennett) and daughter Diane (Hank Goor), sons Bob (Kate Bennett), and Alan (Colleen Bennett); his extended family Kathie (Doug Sager) and Michele (Jeff Montgomery); his sister Shirley (Ken Dempsey); and Sister-In-Law Joan (Bennett).

He will be fondly missed by his grandchildren, Randy, Melissa, and Vanessa (Goor), Kyle and Orrin (Bennett), Cameron and Kerry (Bennett) and his many nieces and nephews.

Clifford enjoyed a long and successful career as a Military Engineer in the Canadian Armed Forces, followed by a second career with the Abbotsford School District.

During his retirement, he devoted many hours to researching his family history, a passion shared by his wife Jean, and together they compiled extensive, individual family trees. He used his creative talents to complete a variety of different woodworking projects. He also donated time and energy to charity work and helping others.

He was predeceased by father Andrew, mother Agnes, and brother Russell.

A memorial tea will be held at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home on Friday, January 28th from 2 til 4 pm.

In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, friends or family may send donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of their choice.
