At the age of 99, our dear mother and grandmother went to be with her Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, October 17, 2009. She was born April 27, 1910 in Gillingham, Kent, England.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Richard James of 58 years. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by sons, James (Eva), George (Carol), David (Gerd), John (Jackie). Daughters, Florence (David), Edith, Diane and Grace (David). Also survived by 144 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. As well as one brother George; sisters Louise, Grace (Jim) and sister in-law Margaret. Plus many nieces and nephews.
Pastor Elmer Martin officiated a private burial at Hatzic Cemetery in Mission, BC on Saturday the 24th of October, 2009. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 11am at First Avenue Christian Assembly, Chilliwack, BC.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Chilliwack Food Bank in her memory.
