It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Christopher Allen Bourque of Chilliwack, BC, at the Chilliwack General Hospital on April 18th, 2021. Chris passed away holding the hands of his closest loved ones; his wife Patsy and his daughter Taylor. He was 58 years old and was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick in 1962.
Chris was an outstanding member of the IBEW Lineman's union and worked as a lineman for over 37 years. He met the love of his life, Patsy, in 1986 in Fredericton, New Brunswick and married in February of 1990.
They would soon move across Canada and parts of the US before settling in Chilliwack, BC to start a family together. They celebrated the birth of their only child Taylor in 1995.
Chris had a sister Suzette Storey (Spouse Dwayne, son Alex) who passed on June 21, 2012. His mother Nancy also passed on May 4, 2020. His father Robert and brother Jason both reside in Lincoln, NB.
Chris was a comedian at heart. He could always make the entire room crack up with one of his jokes or comments. There are so many stories to share about Chris as he made such a positive impact on so many people's lives.
He was a hard worker in any job he put his mind to. He was a devoted husband who always put his family first. He was an amazing father who raised his daughter on love, kindness, and rock 'n roll.
In the later years, he enjoyed building and selling motorcycle accessories out of his garage. He loved going for rides on his Harley which he always kept looking shiny and new. And spending time with the other love of his life; his dog, Bunny, that he himself rescued as a puppy when he found her abandoned on a hiking trail.
The world has lost one one of the funniest, most caring, most loving persons you could ever meet. Patsy and Taylor are thankful to have spent every last minute with him as he fought very hard against his sudden illnesses. His family and friends will carry him with them forever.
Chris's family has offered their sincere and heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to everyone involved with his care.
Due to COVID restrictions, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date TBA. Online condolences and sharing of memories may be made at woodlawn-mtcheam.ca.
