It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Chris passed away peacefully on May 11, 2013 at the age of 88.
He is survived by Edla, his beloved wife of 62 years; his daughter, Barbara (Juergen); his son, Tom (Gail); grandchildren: Zachary, Taylor (Kirsten) and Kurtis (Jasmine); and great-grandchildren: Jackson, Logan, Daylen, Claira, and Gabriel.
Born in Kassel, Germany in 1925, Chris moved to the Fraser Valley in 1953 and was a long-time resident and business owner in Chilliwack. He will be remembered by his so many friends for his kindness, his generosity and his love of life. We wish to thank the nurses and doctors at Chilliwack General Hospital for their care and compassion, most especially those in the ICU.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation to a charity of your choice.
