Charles UNGER

Charles Unger passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 24, 2007 at Chilliwack General Hospital.

Charles was born at home in Giroux, MB, on Jan. 14, 1933. He was the third of eight children born to Anna and Corny Unger. Charles and his young family moved to Chilliwack on March 20, 1966. Work then took him to Quesnel in 1972 and he remained there until 1991, when he moved to Kamloops, finally returned to Chilliwack on Jan. 21, 2007.

Some of his favourite times were spent visiting with family and friends, sitting around playing his guitar and singing. He also was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. He had great stories about bears.

He is survived by Norm (Rosalie) Unger, Doug Unger, Marilyn Gillis, and Brenda Lewis, and their mother Mary Unger, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by five siblings and their spouses.

Predeceased by his parents and two sisters, and a grandson.

So service wsill be held by request. A memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
