May 13, 1931 - November 3, 2024
Wednesday, he played 18 holes of golf. Friday, he mowed the lawn. Saturday, he went hunting with his grandsons. Sunday, at 93, he passed away.
Cecil lived life to the fullest. Who could ask for a better life?
Cecil leaves behind his wife of 74 years, Diane, 3 daughters - Gretchen, Cindy, and Heather (Rob), 7 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
We miss you Dad/Grandpa.
Our family believes his character will be best remembered by the following letter we received from a member of the IWA Union Woss Division/Canfor:
"He is a fine man, true to his word, well schooled and mannered, not afraid of a good confrontation and lessons to both sides of the dispute dealing with the Union. He's a very fair man and very well respected on the Inglewood Division.
The boys were saddened when he got transferred to head office. He was very concerned about every individual whether you were a common
chokeman or a machine operator, he had time for you. In my opinion, if there were more men like Cecil Salmon, this world would be a MUCH BETTER place to live in so many ways!"
Celebration of life will be May 13, 2025, at the family farm.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Ronald McDonald House.
