July 18, 1923 - April 11, 2020
It is with sadness that the family of Cecil John Davis announce his peaceful passing on April 11, 2020 at the age of 96 years.
John will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 73 years, Elsie (Ellen); children, Jim (Gail), Wendy (Victor); grandchildren, Michael (Lindsay), Heather (Scott), Tim (Danielle) and good friend Len.
John was predeceased by his parents and siblings.
He was born in Edmonton Alberta, second of seven children.
John joined the RCAF in 1942, served until 1946 and received a Canadian Service Medal.
He worked for an oil company.He also was a car salesman at Southpark Motors where his love of cars began. Then he worked for Old Dutch Foods as a salesman for many years until he became the assistant sales manager. Upon retiring at 65, John and Ellen then decided to leave Alberta and move to Abbotsford BC, then to Chilliwack.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Chilliwack General Hospital and Heritage Village for their care of John.
Cremation has taken place with a private family memorial to be held a later date.
