Cecelia Clark (CC) passed away peacefully on Friday August 30, 2019 at the age of 77. Beloved wife of Ron Clark who passed away on March 17, 2018. Loving mother of her three daughters Denise (Len) Bratko, Veronica (Bill) Vaughan, Louise (Ritch) Logan and her favourite son Tom (Gina) Clark. Proud grandma of Laura, Christine, Janine, Heather, Ashley, Chris and Nicole. Cherished great-grandma of Liam, Callum, Austin and Riley. Survived by her siblings Marilyn Kimmerly and Larry Francis. Predeceased by her parents Cecil Francis and Mary White and her siblings Jerry Francis and Ronnie Francis. Cecelia will be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Cecelia was a loving wife and wonderful mother, her family was her true devotion. Sports was a gift that she gave to her children, being both a baseball and YBC bowling coach. Mom never missed watching a game, not an easy task as Dad would be away due to his career in the Armed Forces and Mom didn’t drive. Cecelia’s love of sports continued throughout her life, she played ladies ball and was an avid 5 pin bowler for many years, bringing home several trophies. Cecelia also enjoyed the game of golf, getting a hole in one at Caradoc Sands (Strathroy, Ont.) in 2004.
Two of her greatest enjoyments in life were Neil Diamond and the Toronto Blue Jays. Both gave Cecelia great joy in her later years, attending concerts and Blue Jays games with her children and grandchildren. These are times that will be cherished forever.
Cecelia’s family would like to thank Karen Finney (Caregiver from May 2018 – December 2018) and ValleyHaven Care Home (December 2018 – August 2019) for your compassionate care.
A Private Gathering will be held at the Chilliwack Evergreen Estates – Clubhouse 45900 South Sumas Rd. on October 19, 2019 1 pm – 4 pm.
